About the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles

The APABA Mission

In 1998, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) was established and adopted the following multifaceted mission:
  1. To establish a broad base of membership that is reflective of the ethnic and cultural diversity of the Asian/Pacific Islander American (APIA) community in the greater Los Angeles area;
  2. To provide a vehicle and forum for the unified expression of opinions and positions by the Association upon current social, political, economic, legal or other matters or events of concern to its members;
  3. To foster the exchange of ideas and information amongst and between Association members and other members of the legal profession, the judiciary and the community;
  4. To encourage and promote the professional growth of the members of the Association;
  5. To provide an opportunity for fellowship among the Association's members;
  6. To develop and encourage inter-cooperation with and between other bar organizations, especially other minority bar associations; and To provide coordinated service to the community-at-large as well as the local APIA community.
