APABA ELDER LAW CLINIC

APABA, in partnership with the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, is hosting its first Elder Law Day on Saturday, July 17th, 9am - 1pm, at Angelus Plaza residential facilities, 255 S. Hill St, 3rd Floor, Los Angeles.
There will be a presentation on Elder Fraud and ID Theft by James Toma (California Dept. of Justice) and Faye Chen Barnouw (Federal Trade Commission) from 9am to 10am.
There will also be a Legal Clinic from 10am to 1pm to assist low income elders with preparing advance health care directives and power of attorneys for finance. There is a mandatory training for all volunteers for the Legal Clinic at 9am. Korean, Chinese, Tagalog, and Spanish speaking volunteers will be particularly helpful.
